Charlotte, North Carolina, April 8, 2020. In this challenging time, the local support for breweries and restaurants has been tremendous. From drive-thru services to home deliveries, these beloved businesses have been tackling this new challenge with creative initiatives to not only support themselves, but also their local community and healthcare workers.
NoDa Brewing Company, one of Charlotte’s first craft breweries, has brewed something that is truly unique. The release of their Zuper Heroes beer embodies the kind of love and support that healthcare workers currently need. From the superhero themed label, to the non-profit organization they are donating to, this truly is brewed out of love.
22 and You, is a fundraising effort by Christian McCaffrey to support front-line medical workers including physicians, nurses and other hospital staff battling the COVID-19 pandemic in hospitals throughout the Carolinas. NoDa Brewing Company will be donating 10% of all sales from Zuper Heroes to this incredible initiative.
“Make a positive impact in our community is a core Fundamental of our company. We live by this in good times and even more in challenging times,” said Suzie Ford, Founder/President of NoDa Brewing Company. “In our own way, we want to pay tribute and say thank you to the first responders who are battling COVID-19 each and every day.”
Zuper Heroes is a classic Czech Pilsner with earthy, herbal Saaz hops, that is thrust to even greater taste heights with American-grown Zuper Saazer hops. It will be available beginning on Monday, April 13th at the NoDa Brew-Thru located at 2921 N. Tryon St, Charlotte, NC. It can also be found in local grocery retailers and bottle shops.
Opening its taproom doors in 2011, NoDa Brewing Company became one of Charlotte’s first craft breweries. Three short years later, Hop Drop ‘N Roll — their most popular IPA — took home the World Beer Cup Gold Award in the competition’s largest category. This recognition propelled the brewery onto a national stage, and attributed to the quick expansion from a 15-barrel brewhouse in the NoDa neighborhood to a 60 barrel brewhouse in nearby North End. Today, NoDa Brewing Company continues to brew award-winning beers, stand as a pillar of creativity and connection in the community, and add to the state’s thriving craft beer economy.
