Jam Session and Smoked Cheddar Rolls

Prep time: 2 hours Cook time: 17-22 minutes


  • Electric mixer with dough hook
  • Spatula
  • Pastry cutter
  • Large greased bowl
  • Greased 9×13 pan
  • Floured work surface
  • Plastic wrap


  • 2 cups of Jam Session
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp rapid rise yeast
  • 1 and 3/4 cups smoked Wisconsin cheddar cheese
  • 6 cups unbleached bread flour
  • 2 Tbsp softened butter
  • 1 Tbsp melted butter
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt


  1. Add flour, yeast, salt, softened butter, honey, Jam Session to mixer and mix on low for 4 minutes until dough starts to stick to hook. Scrape down sides of bowl and mix on medium for 2 minutes
  2. Add 1 cup of cheese to dough and mix on low for 30 seconds to 1 minute
  3. Turn out the dough ball to the floured surface and coat with flour
  4. Place dough in greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 hour
  5. On floured surface, pat out dough to roughly 1 inch thick
  6. Use pastry cutter to separate dough into 12 equal pieces
  7. Roll each section into a ball and place in greased 9×13 pan
  8. Preheat over to 400Β°
  9. Cover pan with plastic wrap and let dough rise for 45 minutes
  10. Generously brush melted butter on top of rolls
  11. Top each roll with remaining cheese
  12. Bake at 400Β° for 17-22 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
