Hop Drop ’N Roll Pickles

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint of Hop Drop ’N Roll
  • 10 fresh cloves of garlic, minced or whole
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp dill, dried or fresh
  • 1 Tbsp basic pickling spice blend (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp pickling or kosher salt
  • 1 peeled shallot (optional)
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 10-14 pickling cucumbers, cut as desired
  • 3 quart-sized pickling jars

Directions:

  1. Wash and rinse jars thoroughly
  2. Sanitize your jars: boil for 10-15 minutes
  3. Pack cucumbers, garlic, shallot, and dill into jars. Leave 1/4 inch unfilled for headspace
  4. Mix all liquids and spices together in a pot. Bring to a boil and remove from heat
  5. Pour mixture into jars, leaving 1/4 inch unfilled
  6. Place the jar lids on jars
  7. Leave jars out for one hour and then refrigerate for 24 hours before enjoying!
