The cure to the Quarantine Blues: Whiskey Sour & Lacto Calrissian golden sour ales!
– Whiskey Sour:
- Golden Sour Ale aged in Bourbon Barrels
- 6.9% ABV
“A Brewer’s take on a classic cocktail combination. In order to bring forth the familiar flavor profile of a whiskey sour we aged a sour ale with tart, citrus and funky notes additionally in bourbon barrels for over 10 months. This additional aging imparts the vanilla and woody notes one would expect from a whiskey cocktail with the complex sour mixed in. Please don’t serve over rocks though…”
– Lacto Calrissian:
- Golden Sour aged in American White Oak Foeder
- 6.9% ABV
“A classy sour ale for a sophisticated palate. This unique ale began its journey as a Belgian Golden Ale, developing fruity esters from Belgian yeast and using NC grain varieties. After initial fermentation, the ale is re-fermented on a blend of souring bacteria and Brettanomyces strains where it matured over a year’s time into a funky, tropical, musky, tart experience that is as complex as it is delicious.”
