New Year’s Fitness Resolution Hack: Hang Out at Our Brewery
Less than a decade ago there weren’t too many people in Charlotte who would put exercise and beer drinking in the same category. Luckily, we had a runner on staff who thought differently. Brian Mister, employee in 2012, helped us found the first beer/brewery run club in the city of Charlotte: NoDa Run Club. In the years since, with the help of our current Run Club Coordinator, Carla Garrison-Mattos, NoDa Run Club has become a staple in the Charlotte running community. Plus, last year, we added NoDa Hop Yoga to the mix of active clubs here at the brewery, led by our very own Yogi, Courtney Lee Burrows (a Yoga Alliance Certified RYT).
At the start of 2018, we know just how many New Year’s resolutions have been made to prioritize health and fitness, so we wanted to share all of the excited things that our active clubs have going on in the coming months!

Pursuit of Hoppiness: All Year
This year we’re launching “The Pursuit of Hoppiness,” a contest designed for runners to win the chance to work with our Head Brewer, Chad Henderson, by brewing your very own beer that will be served in our tap room! This contest will start January 7th and end on December 30th. Each time you attend one of our run clubs, your name will be entered into the drawing. The more you attend, the more chances of having your name drawn! The drawing for the winner will take place on December 30th during Run Club (and if you don’t know anything about brewing beer, don’t worry about that, Chad is pretty good at it)!
P.S. We can’t mention our active clubs without mentioning OrthoCarolina, our amazing sponsor. Thank you for making these activities possible!
