Boba Brett Blackberry Preview Tasting
Last week, we invited a few of our favorite beer nerds and friends in the media to get a preview taste of Boba Brett with Blackberries. While we love each and every beer we produce, there’s something really special about releasing the first bottled beer from the Boba Brett Sour Project. Creating a sour beer isn’t exactly a simple process — In fact, it’s taken nearly two years to produce this beer — So it’s pretty amazing to see our hard work come to fruition through this release on March 31.
Boba Brett, produced in our foeders, is the base brew of our project. This solid Golden Sour Ale is perfect for blending with other beers or adding fruit, which is exactly what we did for this bottle release… Added one pound of delicious blackberry puree per gallon.
For this tasting event, we gathered at OG (our original tap room), which is where we produce our sour beers, and other smaller batch brews. While our original tap room isn’t open regularly, we are opening it for this one day release event (check out the full release details at the bottom of this page)!
Wondering what our beer-crazy friends thought of the brew? Here’s what they had to say:
“An American Wild Ale, Boba Brett is carefully crafted and monitored over two years to achieve a pleasantly balanced sour flavor profile, with notes of fruitiness. From the tap tothe finished product, this beer was incredible.”
“As always, I had an awesome time with NoDa Brewing and am looking forward to this delicious beer’s release.”
“This sour ale is sooo tasty, and I can’t wait to get my hands on a bottle when it releases on March 31!”
“Oh you want to know if the beer was good? Let’s just say I know where I’ll be on March 31!”
We hope you’ll get a chance to experience what these folks did at our OG tap room on Saturday. Here are the full release details:
